ALMA

Our inspiration this week:

Jessica's Writing:
On a cold harsh winter’s day, a little girl called Alma skipped happily along the frostbitten street and came to a huge chalkboard with a thousand names on it. She looked at the ground and saw some broken up chalk that she could use to write her name down among all the other name written on the board she thought of how long they must have been there and decided to count all the ones that were visible. Alma paused and felt like there was something watching her like it was staring right through her. She turned around and saw a doll that looked very similar to her and was even wearing the same clothes. She ran to the door and gave it a tug but the door wouldn’t budge, filled with frustration Alma picked up a snowball and hurled it at the door and stormed off. As she walked off the door creaked open and revealed a shop filled with hundreds and thousands of dolls. Alma ran in and was astonished by all the dolls staring at her, she searched for the door and found it on another table. As she was about to pick it up she leaped back in fright and a wooden boy doll on a bike had been squashed by Almas fluffy boot. She stood him upright and she raced to the door but to closed before he got there. Alma stood up to go and retrieve her doll but when she looked up it had vanished, she looked around the room and found the doll on the top shelf. Alma was puzzled on how the doll has been moving around. She ran and jumped up onto a couch and started the climb, as she passed many different dolls their eyes followed her up the shelf. When she was finally at the top she went to grab it was there was a sudden flash and Alma was standing in the position the doll was and the dolls eyes became Alma's and from that day on she was never seen again.
